Getting Started

The Instant Pot® Recipe App is supported by which devices?
The iOS app supports: iPhone 4S/5/5C/5S/6/6, iPad 3/4/Air/Air2, iPad mini/mini 2/mini 3, iPod touch 5 or later, running iOS7 or later. Android app supports: Samsung Galaxy S3/S4/S5/Tab4 7″ & 10”, running Android 4.3 or later.
How do I download the Instant Pot® app for iOS or Android?

There are ways to install the Instant Pot® app.

  • Scan the QR code it takes you directly to the iTunes App Store or Google Play.
  • Launch the “App Store” app on Apple devices or Google Play on Android devices, and search for “Instant Pot” with this icon
What are the benefits of signing-up?

Signing up for the Instant Pot® app provides you with full access to all functions and features to provide you with the best experience. Signing up allows you to create personalized grocery lists, add recipes to your favorites list, and rate and post recipe reviews.

If I sign-up will you be sharing my personal information?

Instant Pot® values your privacy.  The information you provide will be kept private in our database.  The exception being your username and nape being public when leaving reviews on recipes. Your information will not be shared with third parties.

How will you use my personal information?

We use your information to operate our app’s business activities. For example, we may use this data to contact you about changes to the app/web site, new services, special Instant Pot® offers, troubleshoot, and enforce our website’s terms and conditions.

How To

How do I add ingredients from a recipe to my grocery cart?

To add ingredients from a recipe, simply select the ingredients you would like to add from the list. The selected ingredients will then be checked with a red checkmark. Once you have selected all ingredients you would like to add to you grocery cart, scroll to the bottom of the ingredients list and select the “+ add checked ingredients to grocery list”. Once the items are added, the checkmarks will be green to notify you the items have been added to your grocery list.

How do I remove items from my grocery cart?

To remove an item(s) from your grocery list, select the ingredient(s) you wish to remove and the ingredient will be crossed out. The next time you open the app, these ingredients will be removed from the grocery list.

How do I add ingredients that are not part of a recipe?

Go into your ingredients list and select ‘Add ingredients to list’. From here you can manually type in an item that is not from a recipe.

Where do I find the grocery cart to review my list?

You can view your grocery list by selecting the menu icon in the top left corner of the app.  From here, a side menu will open where you can view Recipes, Favorites and your Grocery list.  Click on Grocery list to view your cart.

How do I rate a recipe?

To rate a recipe, select the far right speech bubble icon in the menu of the recipe. Select  “Leave a Review” button and then simply select the number of stars you would like to rate the recipe. You do not have to leave a written review to leave a star rating.

How do I find additional recipes from a particular recipe contributor?

If you are searching for more recipes from a particular contributor, you can select the contributor’s name underneath the title of the recipe. Selecting the contributor’s name will bring you to the contributor’s profile on the app where you will find the contributor’s biography followed by contributed recipes to the app. If you would like additional recipes from the contributor, you can select the link to their blog, social media sites, or cookbook (if applicable), where you will find additional recipes from the contributor.

How do I share a recipe?

To share a recipe, click on the arrow share icon on the recipe’s image.  This will provide you with the ability to share the recipe through Airdrop, for iOS users, text message, email, and social media platforms.

How do I share a recipe with someone who has not downloaded the app?

To share with someone who does not have the Instant Pot® recipe app use the share icon.

How do I add additional recipes to the app?

Currently, users are unable to add additional recipes to the app.

How do I know when new recipes are added to the app?

To view the latest recipes, go to “Newest Recipes” category on the landing page of the app.  You will not receive push notification to your phone unless you select to “Receive Push Notifications”.

I am a recipe developer, how do I contribute recipes?
If you are a recipe developer and would like to contribute recipes to the app, you may contact us at ameglio@doubleinsight.com for information on how you may become a contributor.

Troubleshooting

Why am I unable to add a recipe to my favorites?

To add a recipe to your favorites, you must be logged in your account on the app.  If you are in the process of attempting to favorite a recipe a pop up will appear indicating “Sign-in Required”.  Select “Sign-in” and the app will re-direct you to the sign-in page, where you can create an account or sign-in using your existing account if you have already created one.

Why is the app not saving my rating for a recipe?

To rate a recipe, you must be logged into a created account on the app. If you are in the process of attempting to rate a recipe, a pop up will appear indicating “Sign-in Required”. Select “Sign-in” and the app will re-direct you to the sign-in page, where you can create a new account or sign-in using your existing account if you have already created one.

Why am I unable to write a review?

Why am I unable to add ingredients to my grocery cart?

I do not understand a recipe, how do I request clarification?

If you are unclear by a recipe, you can simply leave a review with your questions so that we can clarify the recipe. Additionally, you may refer to the Instant Pot® Tips page in the app, or reach out to Customer Care team https://www.instantpot.com/support/.

Where do I find help and additional information on my Instant Pot®?

There is a list of frequently asked questions located in the app under “Instant Pot® Today”. Additionally, you can find more information on our website www.instantpot.com.ph.  To reach our Customer Care team https://www.instantpot.com/support/.

Smart Bluetooth App

Is the Recipe app compatible with my Instant Pot Smart Bluetooth app?

Currently, the recipe app is not compatible with the Smart Bluetooth App.  A later version will provide you with this feature.

Can I write my own scripts as per my Smart Bluetooth app?

Currently, the ability to write your own scripts is not available in the recipe app.  A later version will provide you with this feature.
